Applications are invited for filling the following posts in the Central Silk Board.
1. SCIENTIST-C – 2 Posts
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay of Rs.6600/-
Age: Below 45 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: A Doctorate degree in Zoology/Botany/Entomology/Agriculture/Agronomy/Chemistry/Sericulture from a recognised University with a minimum of 10 years Research experience out of which 5 years should be in the capacity of Scientist-B (PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade pay of Rs.5400/-) or equivalent
DESIRABLE: Specialisation or research experience in the Field of Molecular Biology / Bio-Technology / Entomology /Insect Breeding.
2. SCIENTIST-C (Reeling & Spinning) – 3 Posts
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay of Rs.6600/-
Age: Below 45 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: A Doctorate degree in Textiles Technology/ Textile Chemistry or Textile Engineering from a recognised University with a minimum of 10 years Research experience out of which 5 years should be in the capacity of Scientist-B (Reeling & Spinning) (PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade pay of Rs.5400/-) or equivalent.
3. SCIENTIST-B – 21 Posts
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-
Age: Below 40 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: High II Class Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Zoology/Botany/Entomology/Agriculture/Agronomy/Chemistry/Sericulture from a recognised University with 5 years Research experience as evidenced by Research Publications in reputed journals.
DESIRABLE: Specialisation or research experience in the field of Molecular Biology/Bio-Technology, Soil Science & Soil Chemistry, Insect Pathology / Virology, Crop Physiology / Plant Physiology, Insect Breeding, Biochemistry, Insect Physiology, Environmental Sciences / Ecology, Applied Animal Genetics.
4. SCIENTIST-B (REELING & SPINNING) - 2 Posts
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-
Age: Below 40 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: High II Class Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry or Textile Engineering from a recognised University with 5 years Research experience.
5. SENIOR LIBRARY & INFORMATION ASSISTANT – 1 Post
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-
Age: Below 30 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Science/Commerce/Arts or an equivalent qualification with Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University in Library Science.
Desirable: Computer knowledge will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with experience.
6. JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER – 1 Post
Pay Band and Grade Pay: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2400/-
Age: Below 25 years
Qualification: ESSENTIAL: Matriculation or equivalent qualification with a pass in English Typewriting and Shorthand examinations conducted by the State Technical Education Board with a speed of 40 words per minute in
English Typewriting and 80 words per minute in English Shorthand.
