Applications are invited for the following posts in the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Panjab University Chandigarh, on purely temporary basis under UGC 11th Plan, but likely to continue.
1. Professor-cum-Director – 1 Post (Grade Rs. 16400-22000 : un-revised)
Qualification: An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research with 10 years of experience in the postgraduate teaching, and / or experience in research at the University/National Level Institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level. -OR- An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge. Specialization: Dalit/Adivasi/Gender/Minority Studies and/or Subaltern Studies.
2. Reader-cum-Deputy Director – 2 Post (Grade Rs. 12000-18300 : un-revised)
Qualification: Good academic record with a doctoral degree in the relevant subject i.e. Social Sciences. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the University system, shall also possess at least 55% of the marks (50% in case of SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level. Five years of experience of teaching and/or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula. Specialization: Dalit/Adivasi/Gender/Minority Studies and/or Subaltern Studies.
3. Lecturer-cum-Assistant Director – 3 Post (Grade Rs. 8000-275-13500: un-revised)
Qualification: Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Physically & Visually handicapped candidates) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level, in the relevant subject i.e. Social Sciences from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. NET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of lecturers in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempt from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.” Specialization: Dalit/Adivasi/Gender/Minority Studies and/or Subaltern Studies.
4. Research Associate – 2 Post (Pay Rs. 12,000 /- (Fixed) + HRA)
Qualification: Ph.D. in Social Sciences
5. Professional Assistant – 1 Post (Grade Rs. 5500-9000 : un-revised)
Qualification: Graduation 2nd Class with Bachelor in Lib. Science 2nd Class; or Masters with Bachelor in Lib. Science 2nd Class; Must have passed Microsoft Word course recognized by the University/Government Institution and shall have proficiency to operate Computer.
6. Research Assistant – 2 Post (Grade Rs. 5500-9000 : un-revised)
Qualification: M.Phil in Social Sciences
