Applications are invited by Maharashtra Public Service Commission for the following posts
1. Government Labour Officer, Maharashtra Labour Services, Group-B (Directorate of Labour) – 64 Posts
Pay: Rs. 9300-34800+Grade Pay Rs.4400/- plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules. [Total Emolument Approx. Rs.21509/-p.m.]
Age: Not more than 33 years as on 1st July, 2010. (Relaxable as per rules). The upper age limit shall not apply to the employee of Government of Maharashtra. Age limit will be relaxed by Government on recommendation of the Commission in favour of candidates having exceptional qualification.
Qualification: Candidates must possess – A post-graduate degree or a two year’s post-graduate diploma in Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management declared by Government to be equivalent thereto -OR- A degree at least in second class in Arts, Science, Commerce, Economics, Law, Agriculture, Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics as a subject or in Social Science or Social Work recognised for the purpose of Maharashtra Welfare Officers (Duties Qualifications and Conditions of Services) Rules,1966 -AND- Have adequate Knowledge of Marathi.
2. Deputy General Manager (Electric Supply) in Grade – A (Special) (Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking, Mumbai) – 1 Post
Age: Not more than 50 years as on 1st July, 2010. Relaxable as per rules. The upper age limit shall not apply to the employee of B.E.S.T. Undertaking. Age limit may be relaxed in favour of candidates possessing exceptional qualification or experience or both.
Qualification: Candidates must – Possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering of a Statutory University / Institution or an equivalent qualification; Possess 12 years experience in the Departments of Planning, Construction, Operation & Maintenance of a large Electric Supply, Distribution System and in the Utilization of Electrical Energy on a large scale of which atleast 3 years should be in a responsible Administrative / Executive position in a large Electric Supply Undertaking; -AND- Possess adequate Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi languages. Preference may be given to candidates who possess a Post-graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or allied discipline of a Statutory University.
