PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, WEST BENGAL
Application in the prescribed format are invited from Indian Citizens and such other nationals as are declared eligible by Govt. of India for the undermentioned competitive examinations :-
1. Assistant Public Prosecutors - 50 Posts
Pay: (PB-4) Rs.9,000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.26,670/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.
Qualification: i) A degree in Law from a recognized University. ii) A minimum 3 (three) years’ continuous practice as a Lawyer on the date of application and must be either an Advocate* or a Barrister-at-Law.
Age: Not less than 25 years and not more than 35 years on 01.01.2010 (i.e. born not earlier than
the 2nd January, 1975 and not later than the 1st January, 1985).
2. West Bengal Legal Service Examination – 41 Posts
Pay: (PB-4) Rs.9,000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.26,670/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.
Qualification: A degree in Law from a recognized University.
Age: Not less than 23 years and not more than 35 years on 01.01.2010 (i.e. born not earlier than the 2nd January, 1975 and not later than the 1st January, 1987). Upper age limit is relaxable for the candidates serving under Govt. of West Bengal.
3. West Bengal Forest Service and West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service Examination.
Pay : PB-4 Rs.9,000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.26,670/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules. PB-3 Rs.7,100-37,600/- + Grade Pay of Rs.3,900/-. Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.15,583/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.
Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering of any recognized University or Institute with at least one of the following subjects : Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.
Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years on 01.01.2010 (i.e. born not earlier than 02.01.1978 and not later than 01.01.1989)
4. West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Examination - 36 Posts
Pay : (PB-4) Rs.9,000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/-. Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.26,670/- besides M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce of a recognized University or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Members of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India.
Age : Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2010 (i.e. born not earlier than the 2nd January, 1978).
