Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory under Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. SAMEER- Centre for Electromagnetics, Chennai is pursuing Research and Development, Consultancy, test and evaluation services in the areas of Electromagnetics and antennas, EMI/EMC, Communications and thermal management of Electronic systems. SAMEER offers the position of Scientist-C /Scientist-B on a regular basis, as per its terms and conditions to young Engineers in the following specialized fields
1. Scientist – C (Electronics & Communication) - 4 Posts
Qualificaiton: BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/PhD in Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Microwave, Radar systems with consistent good academic performance with a minimum of First Class and an aggregate of 60% (6.75 CGPA) in UG and PG.
Pay band : Rs.15600-39100 with Grade pay Rs.6600/- (Gross : Rs.46,148/- at Chennai)
Age Limit as on 1st August 2010: 35 years (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates)
2. Scientist – B (Electronics & Communication) - 8 Posts
Qualification: Consistent good academic performance with a minimum of First Class B.E/B.Tech or equivalent and 60% marks (6.75 CGPA) in each Semester/Year of B.E/B.Tech or equivalent. M.E/M.Tech in Thermal stream is preferred. Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2009-10 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree in First Class, as per the above referred eligibility is available by 1st September 2010
Pay band : Rs.15600-39100 with Grade pay Rs.5400/- (Gross : Rs.38,970/-)

3. Scientist – B (Mechanical) - 3 Posts
Qualification: Consistent good academic performance with a minimum of First Class B.E/B.Tech or equivalent and 60% marks (6.75 CGPA) in each Semester/Year of B.E/B.Tech or equivalent. M.E/M.Tech in Thermal stream is preferred. Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2009-10 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree in First Class, as per the above referred eligibility is available by 1st September 2010
